CIPSAN qualifications are prized so highly and applicants for all grades have to meet strict entry requirements. They are vetted carefully and we have the sole discretion for deciding on the grade of membership relevant to the applicants.

Associate Members (ACIPurS)

This is the first grade of membership of CIPSAN and gives professional recognition to your status as a purchasing officer, stores officer, parts supervisor, transport and logistic officer.

Associate Membership is attained by success in the Institutes final examinations

Higher National Diploma/Degree in Business Management, Purchasing and Supply Management, Accountancy, Engineering and others with relevant working experience of two/three years in purchasing and supply activities or transport logistics or warehouse management.

Full Member (MCIPurS)

Full membership will give the seal of recognition to your career as an endorsement of long experience.

The qualification required for Associate Membership (above) is also the prerequites for admission to full membership in addition to at least four/five years of working experience.

Fellow Member (FCIPurS)

Entry requirement is as above in addition to a minimum of ten years of working experience. This is suitable for senior managers in procurement, materials management, parts management, senior warehouse managers, logistics/marketing manager in large departmental stores. General Managers in a large company may be considered. Senior Lecturers of Purchasing and Supply Managers with proven records of successful research contributions and professional knowledge may be considered.

A CIPSAN Fellow demonstrates a commitment to promoting and sharing the highest standard in purchasing and supply management.
